Wingate - Mrs. Harriett Moore Griffin, 73, passed away, Saturday, June 13, 2020 at her home. Born February 21, 1947 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Moore and Katie Helms Moore. She was also preceded in death by brother, Billy "EZ" Moore. She enjoyed nature, flowers and was an avid reader. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Harriett will be 11 Am Tuesday by the graveside of Faulks Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service by the grave. Due to current mandates, please practice social distancing per your comfort level. The family will have a reception following at Grace Pointe Baptist Church, 531 East Main Street, Marshville.
Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband Alan Griffin of the home; son, Shawn Griffin and his wife Gwynne of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Katie and Bryce Griffin; brothers Jerry Moore of Marshville and Woody Moore of Wingate; sisters, Mary Hancock of Monroe, Brenda Perry of Marshville.
