Mrs. Hazel Hinson Baker, 94, passed away, Friday September 20, 2019 at her home. Born March 1, 1925 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Houston Hinson and Daisey Jane Griffin Hinson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, JB Smith and second husband, Frank Baker.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Hazel will be held 12 noon Thursday, September 27, 2019 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11-12 at the church.
Mrs. Baker is survived by children, Judy Greene (Wayne) of Monroe, Terry Smith (Gail) of Marshville and Jan Bryan Smith (Billie) of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; brother, Dwayne (Judy) Hinson; Frank's children, Matt Baker, Gary Baker and Lynne Durbin.
