Mrs. Helen Little Thomas, 92, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Brookdale Memory Care in Monroe.  Born October 9, 1932 in Union County, she was the daughter of the late Vance Little and Flossie Allen Little. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Joe Benford Thomas, son-in-law Tommy Greene, daughter-in-law Kimberly Thomas, brothers Roy Little, Spencer Little, Broadus Little and Theron Little. She was the youngest of five children and the only girl.

Most of her working years were spent as a dental assistant for Dr. Charles Wilson in Marshville. Our Mother was a lifetime member of Hamilton Cross Roads Baptist Church.  She was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Marshville.  She loved working in her yard when it was pretty outside and reading a book when it turned cooler.

She loved being around her family, cooking great meals, always making everyone their favorite dish. Most of all, she was the sweetest most kind person you'd ever hope to know.  She loved her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends unconditionally.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helen Thomas will be at 1 PM Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Hamilton Cross Roads Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Michael Thomas; daughter, Cynthia T. Greene (Kenneth); grandchildren, Jacob Greene (Shannon); Jessica Greene (Shannon); Daniel Thomas; and sister-in-law, Peggy Thomas.
