Marshville – Mr. Henry Douglas Broome, 75, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at his home.  Born September 4, 1945 in Union County, he was a son of the late Tom Lee Broome and Bessie Lee Faulk Broome. Formerly of Union County, he moved to Florida for a number of years where he painted large boats for a living and returned home after retirement.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be 11 AM Wednesday from the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home.  Rev. Tommy McKenzie will be officiating.

Survivors include his son Alex Junco; sisters, Patsy Lewis of Leigh High Acres, Fla. and Carolyn "Kelly" Eller of Marshville; brothers, Sandy Broome of South, Fla and Herman Broome of Johnson Lake, NE.
