Marshville – Mr. Samuel Jack Liner, Jr. 77, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at his home.  Born August 17, 1945 in Haywood County, he was a son of late Samuel Jack Liner, Sr. and Helen Rushing Liner.  He retired from A&P Groceries and the City of Monroe ABC board.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Barbara M. Liner.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jack will be 11 AM, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Marshville First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Grace Chapel Cemetery in Sanford, NC.  If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to come by Morgan & Son from 12-3 PM on Tuesday March 14.  The family will not be present.

Those left to cherish his memory include his special friend, Kay Smith; step daughter, Sarah Bailey; several nieces and nephews.
