Mr. James E. Griffin, 85, passed away January the 3rd, 2014 at Hospice House of Union County. He was born in Union County on March 5th, 1928 to the late William Doss Griffin, Sr., and Mary Ethel Edwards Griffin. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Merchant Marine. Jim was also well known as an Attorney At Law serving this area for several decades. Memorial Services will be 6pm Monday in the First Baptist Church of Marshville. The family will greet friends following the service. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Joan K Griffin. Three sons: Mr. Bart Griffin, Mr. Scott Webb, and Mr. Andy Webb. Two daughters: Elizabeth Griffin and Amee Webb. 8 Grandchildren: Tyler Griffin, Blair Griffin, Jason Cruz, Scott Foltz, Daniel Foltz, Nina Webb, and Nate Brewer . Jim was preceded in death by one grandson; Mr. Jacob Webb.
