Mrs. Jean F. Carnes 69, passed away Tuesday the 3 ^rd of January, 2017 at CMC Union.  She was born on August the 30 ^th , 1947 in Mecklenburg County.  She was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her father Mr. John Lester Farris and her two sons Walter Vachel Carnes Jr., and David Lane Carnes.

Funeral Services will be 2pm Friday in the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home.  The family will greet  friends following the service.  Interment will follow in the Marshville City Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Walter Carnes of Marshville.  One daughter Susan Michelle Smith and her husband Mike and their daughter Kristen. of Marshville. She is also survived by her mother Mrs. Clara H. Farris  and her brother Mr. Richard Farris,  his wife Thetus,  and their daughter Elizabeth of Marshville.
