Marshville – Mrs. Helen Jean Edwards Tarlton, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her daughters' home in Indian Trail.  Born November 26, 1931 in Anson County she was a daughter of the late James Clyde Edwards and Ruth Horne Edwards.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Dale Tarlton brothers, Clinton Edwards and James Winfred Edwards.  She was a great cook, loved to sing, loved her family and had a quick wit.

Funeral services will be private

During these times of limiting the numbers for social gatherings, the family respects your concerns of avoiding crowds, so they welcome you to stop by the funeral home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 1 PM until 3:00pm to pay your respects.  The family will not be present.

Mrs. Tarlton is survived by a son, Larry Dale Tarlton (Donna) of Murrells Inlet, SC; two daughters, Cathy Tarlton Threatt (Tommy) of Marshville and Tammy Tarlton (Tim Woodward) of Indian Trail, NC; 10 grandchildren, Larry Dale Tarlton, Jr., Lisa Ramsey (Brian), Myles Threatt (Suwannee), Matt Threatt (Alisia), Daniel Threatt (Allie), Samuel Threatt, Alexis Baker, Weston Baker, Kennedy Woodward and Levi Woodward; 8 great grandchildren.
