Monroe – Jerry Alan Craiglow, 76, passed away peacefully early in the morning of Thursday, February 1, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born to father, Herbert Craiglow and mother, Geraldine Baughman Craiglow in Canton, OH, on April 16, 1947. He was also preceded in death parents-in-law William Theodore Griffin and Eula Beatrice Presson Griffin, as well as siblings Jack Craiglow, James (Jim) Craiglow, Janet (Sue) Craiglow Strittmatter, nephew David Craiglow, and niece Jeannie Strittmatter.

A lifelong lover of the gridiron, Jerry excelled on his high school football team and avidly followed high school and college playoff games throughout his years. He was also an active member of Lions Clubs International for over 40 years, and especially enjoyed collecting and trading Lions pins with friends from all over the world. He was an active member of Austin Grove Baptist Church where he enjoyed serving as the "Taste Tester" in the Meals Ministry.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years Dorothy "Dottie" Dobbin Craiglow; daughter, Jodi Craiglow; brother-in-law, William Theodore "Teddy" Griffin (Vickie Clontz) ; sister-in-law, Becky Griffin Brazell Mills (Bobby Mills) ; sister-in-law, Louise Moore Craiglow; nieces and nephews, Aaron Griffin (Kimberly Davis), Amber Griffin Witmore (Michael), Griffin Brazell, Kevin Craiglow, Brian Craiglow, James "Jim" Craiglow, Herb Craiglow, Jami Strittmatter Olminsky, Jason Craiglow, Jarod Craiglow, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jerry will be 11 AM, Saturday, February 3, 2024, from Austin Grove Baptist Church with burial to following the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 in the church fellowship building.
