Marshville - Mr. Jimmy Medlin, 68, passed away Monday July 13, 2020 at Novant Health Presbyterian in Charlotte.  Born February 18, 1952 in Union County he was a son of the late John Theron and Velma Pressley Medlin.  He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Grace.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jimmy will be held 5 PM Wednesday at Bright Spot Baptist Church, 1407 Lockhart Street, Monroe, NC  28112.  The family will receive friends from 4PM until service time in the church sanctuary on Wednesday.  Burial will be private.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Gail Medlin of the home; sons, Jonathan (Cooney) Medlin and his wife Larytia of Marshville, Ricky Medlin of Marshville; grandchildren, Marissa, Garrett, Colton, Walker and Caleb Medlin; sisters, Dianne Laney of Unionville, Edith Goodson and her husband Frank of Wingate and Libby Neal and her husband Bill of Indian Trail.

The family suggests memorials made to Bright Spot Baptist Church, 1407 Lockhart, Monroe, NC 28112.
