Wingate – Mrs. Joann Thompson Stogner, 77, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her home. Born July 16, 1937 in Miami, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Eula Thompson. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Randy Thompson.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday at First Baptist Church Indian Trail – East Campus in Marshville with burial to follow in Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery, 9713 Lancaster Highway, Waxhaw, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11 am at the church.
Mrs. Stogner is survived by a son, Dean Hamilton Stogner and his wife Amy of Matthews; daughters, Cynthia S. Pressley of Charlotte and Christie S. Stegall and husband Don of Marshville; brother, Webb Thompson and his wife Judy of Columbia, SC; sisters, Billie Robinson of Fort Mill, SC, Judy Smith and her husband Doug of Charlotte and Sally Pardue of Lancaster, SC; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
