Mr. Joe Luke Williams 88, passed away Friday the 29th of January, 2016 at Clarebridge. He was born on June 25, 1927 in Anson County to the late Jesse Sebron and Mamie Edwards Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Bernice N. Williams. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and Service Manager for Gaye Chevrolet.
Graveside services will be held 2PM Monday, February the 1st , 2016 at Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday January the 31st from 2pm-3pm at Morgan & Son.
Joe is survived by his son Mr. Donald Williams and his wife Missi of Peachland and his daughter Dava W. Smyre and her husband Andrew of Marshville. Two brothers: Mr. Grady Williams of Matthews and Mr. Harold Williams of Peachland. Two Sisters: Mrs. Nell Birkner and Mrs. Louise Wilson both of Charlotte. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Meredith Williams, Carmen Drye, Joseph Morgan and Brandon Smyre. Great-grandchildren: Mason Luke Drye, Lydia Morgan Drye, Killian Smyre and Lucien Smyre.
