Mr. John "J.W." Smith, 84, passed away, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at CHS-Union in Monroe. Born August 17, 1933 in Columbus County, NC, he was a son of the late Major and Minnie Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife Jessica Williams Smith and by 5 siblings.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 pm by the graveside of Euto Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2pm to service time in the church's Family Life Center.
Mr. Smith is survived by a son Craig Smith and his wife Tammy of Mt Airy, NC; daughter, Sharon Smith of Fuquay Varina, NC; 2 step grandsons; sister, Carlotta Guyton of Chadbourn, NC
