Marshville – Mr. John William Maske, 94 died Friday at Autumn Care in Marshville. He was born September 15, 1920 in Anson County, NC and widowed by Letha Nance Maske in 2009. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Callie Mae Maske Graves.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of John will be 11 am Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the church's fellowship building.

Mr. Maske is survived by daughters, Susan Maske Hathcock and her husband John Nathan Hathcock of Alexandria, Va and Gail Maske Love and her husband David of Arlington, Va; grandchildren, Galen Hathcock and his wife Jennifer Nelson Hathcock of Chicago, Ill and Byron Hathcock and his wife Sharon Kelley Hathcock of Yarmouth, Maine; 6 great grandchildren, Miles, Frances, Alexander, Quinn Maxen and Brienne Hathcock; and one great-great grandchild, Caroline Hathcock; a niece Patricia Ingram Dunn of Greensboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103.
