Marshville – John Hubert Todd, 66 of New Salem, NC died peacefully at home on May 3, 2020. He was Born in Whiteville, NC on December 8, 1953. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Ross Isley and Father, Hubert Archibald and his son, Christopher M. Todd.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Elizabeth L. Todd of the home; sons, Jeffrey Canady ( Kim) of Four Oaks, NC, Joshua Williams of the home; and his "favorite" daughter, Jessica T. Grandia ( Noah) of the home; brother, Peter Todd (Jean) of Chapel Hill, NC; sister, Susan Edwards (Bill) of Norwich,VT; He is also survived by his grandchildren who he loved dearly, Lillie Canady, Gus Canady and David Swade Williams; great-granddaughter, Emmi Williams.
John was the owner of a small business, Precision Beverage Systems for 32 years. His family was the most important thing to him and he loved his home place where he was an avid gardener. On their farm, he loved going to the creek and fishing. John played the guitar and he loved music, especially the Beatles. He loved to read and was so knowledgeable about everything. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date
