Kannapolis – Johnny Robinson High passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Tucker Hospice in Kannapolis. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Joan High in 2015. Born February 5, 1935 in Anson County, he was a son of the late Erastus Blair High and Leona Hamilton High. He was preceded in death by brothers, Crawford Blair High and Max High, children, Johnny Ray High and Rose High.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Tuesday.
Mr. High is survived by his children from his first wife, Virginia - Linda K. Bare and her husband Billy of Jefferson, NC, Bruce High and his wife Samantha of Concord, Judy Hildreth and her husband Jasper of Wadesboro, NC and William High and his wife Sharon of Concord; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Children from his second wife, Mary - Johnny L. High of Statesville, Mitchell G. High and Jonathan B. High both of Kannapolis; brothers, Rev. Bill High of Marshville and Elden High of Marshville, Rev. Bruce High of Marshville and Joel High of Marshville, grandchildren, Mariah E. M. High and Marie I. High.
