Mr. Johnny Monroe Peninger, 72, of Peachland, passed peacefully to be with his Lord, Sunday, December 27, 2015. Born May 4, 1943, in Union County, he was a son of the late George Eli Peninger and Carrie Phillips Peninger. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Neese Peninger. He loved reading his Bible, going to church and going on visitation with his Pastor.

Funeral services will be held 3 PM Wednesday at New Beginnings Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the church.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife Susan of the home; sons, Johnny Keith Peninger and wife Sandy Denise Peninger and George Kevin Peninger; daughter Carol Ann Thompson and husband David Scott Thompson; brother, David Helms and wife Mae; grandchildren, Derek Keith Peninger, Joshua Eli Peninger and wife Carrie Lydia Peninger, Robert Briar Peninger, Charles Devin Peninger.; great-grandchildren Eli Ray Peninger and Lydia Marie Peninger.
