Marshville – Mrs. Johnsie Francise Nash Thomas, 95 died Friday at Autumn Care of Marshville. Born September 8, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Albert Hartsell and Glennie Gaddy Nash. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd T. Hollis and second husband J. Hoyle Thomas, step son, Max Thomas, sisters, Clemmie Floyd, Dorothy Griffin and Sarah Byrum and brothers, Hazel and Boyce Nash.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Johnsie will held Sunday at 2PM from the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by three sons, Tim Hollis of Fleetwood, NC, Fred Hollis of Monroe and Larry Hollis of Marshville; step sons Wayne Thomas of Rockingham and Larry Thomas of Matthews; step daughters, Mary Frances Gordon of Dunn, NC, Marceil Mangum of Columbia, SC and Debra Stewart of Wingate; half daughter, Judy Stegall of Concord; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
