Monroe, Charlotte and Home News - Free Obit Wingate - Mrs. Kathryn Green Griffin, 72, died Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Born October 5, 1941 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Spofford and Beulah Lowery Greene. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11 am from the graveside of Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following by the graveside. Pastors Jeff Laborg and Lou Politowicz. Mrs. Griffin is survived by a sister, Vivian Beard of Salisbury; Special friends, Michelle Bryan, David and Rhonda Stancil.
