Mr. Kenneth Edward Helms, 90, of Marshville passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Atrium Health – Union.  Born April 30, 1934, in Anson County, he was a son of the late James Edgar Helms and Cora Jane Austin Helms.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Roy Helms, Gene Helms and Louise White.  Kenneth served in the US Army as a Guided Missile Launcher.  He was a humble and kind-hearted man who loved his Lord and Savior, his family, friends, and church family.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Kenneth will be at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Fairfield Community Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 PM at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 71 years, Patsy Ruth Carpenter Helms; son, Michael Helms (Ginger Jackson); daughter, Pam Lisk (Darrell); grandchildren, Heather Andrews (Scott), Hannah Bumby (Matthew), Daniel Helms, and Katherine Smith (Zane); great grandchildren, Ezra Bumby and Ansley Ruth Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made to Fairfield Community Baptist Church, 7208 Olive Branch Road, Marshville, NC  28103.
