Mr. Kenneth L. James, 77, passed away after a 22 year battle with ALS on July the 11 ^th , 2017 at CMC Main.  He was born in Union County on October the 15 ^th , 1939 to the late Ralph and Irene Traywick James. He was a retired electrician with Lucent Technologies and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Kenneth was the last living Charter Member of Beaver Lane VFD and retired from service after 25 years.

Funeral Services will be 2pm Saturday the 15 ^th of July, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Marshville.  Interment with military honors will follow in the Marshville City Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Friday at Morgan & Son.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Deloris A. James of the home.  His son Lt. Kevin James and his wife Amie and his daughter Kristen J. Davis and her husband Paul all of Marshville.  His grandchildren: Dalton James,  Madison James,  Drew Davis and Samantha Davis.  Brothers: Mr. Charles James and his wife Julie and Mr. Greg James all of Marshville.  Two sisters: Mrs. Rita J. Harrington of Peachland and Mrs. Barbara J. Edwards and her husband Tommy of Marshville.
