Mr. Lannie Lee, 82, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at his home.  Born February 21, 1941 in Union County, he was a son of the late Joe and Ollie Lee.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lannie will be 3 PM, Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Fairfield Community Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM in the church fellowship building.

Those left to cherish Lannie's memory include his wife Mary Alice Lee; sons, Nicky Lee and Bobby Lee and his wife Sandra; daughter, Kasey Farmer and husband Tim; sisters, Elsie Thomas, Linda Laney (Ronnie), Brenda Purser (Jimmy); brother, Buddy Lee; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and other special family Darlene Evans (David), Lisa Strawn (Bill), and their families.

Throughout his years, Lannie was a man that enjoyed many things including traveling with his wife and working in his yard.  In recent years, you'd often find him sitting under the shade trees in his backyard enjoying the flowers and watching the bird feeders.

However, what he enjoyed the most was being around those he loved.  Lannie was a man that cared deeply for those close to him.  He loved the time spent with his wife and children and watching his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren grow up.  He always had a close bond with his siblings and would often be found calling or visiting extended family and close friends.  Lannie was also a positive influence on the lives of others by encouraging them and letting them know that he believed in them.  He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
