Mr. Leroy Mills, 85, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at his home.  Born October 16, 1938, in Union County, he was a son of the late Clinton Woodrow Mills and Gladys Hilton Mills.

He loved watching his grandchild, Clint race at different tracks and traveling with the team to many events.  In his later years, he enjoyed delivering grain for local farmers, especially his grandson Jeffery.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Leroy will be 11 AM, Monday, July 22, 2024, at the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 on Monday.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 67 years, Patsy Faulkner Mills; son, David Mills (Tami); daughter, Kathy Mills Helms; grandchildren, Daniel Mills (Stephanie), Clint Mills, Amanda Mills Carter (Will), Jeffery Helms (Casey), and Tyler Helms; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Francis Mills, Brenda Deese, Barbara Ross and Johnny Mills; sister-in-law, Joyce Bowers.
