Belmont, NC – Mr. Lewis Wayne Gardner, Sr., 56, passed away peacefully Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home. Born November 15, 1958 in Union County, he was a son of Joyce Taylor Gardner Long and the late Henry L. Gardner.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday at the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Deep Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 3-5 pm at the Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Lewis Wayne Gardner, Jr. of Wisconsin; daughter, Savannah Ford of Charlotte; brother, Michael Gardner of Texas; sisters, Debbie Jean Denio of Belmont, NC, Betty Page of Sophia, NC,Donna Roberts of Kannapolis, NC and Patricia Keller of Statesville, NC; and 5 grandchildren.
