Mr. Lewis Jesse Newton, 91 of Peachland, died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Autumn Care in Marshville. Born October 28, 1927 in Anson County, he was a son of the late George and Alma Phifer Newton. He was preceded in death by his wife Margie High Newton and son, David Lewis Newton.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Deep Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Newton is survived by three daughters, Peggy Little and her husband Jamie of Peachland, Cathy Autrey and her husband Steve of Monroe and Sylvia Newton of Charlotte; sisters, Carol Whisnant of Mint Hill and Frances Hornback of Missouri; grandchildren, Dana Little Ward, Nathan Little, and Brittany Smith; and 5 great grandchildren.
