Marshville – Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Thompson Edwards, 94, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at her home.  Born June 26, 1928 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Royal and Mary Thompson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Pete in 2000 and siblings, Virginia Tyson, William Thompson and Margaret Funderburk.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lib will be 11 AM, January 20, 2023 from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville city cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 at the funeral home on Friday.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Brent Edwards (Elizabeth); granddaughters, Jessica Edwards, Angela Quinonez and Tiffany Morris; and several great grandchildren.
