Marshville – Libby Collins Hargett, 72, died Thursday at Autumn Care in Marshville. Born January 9, 1943 in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Alice Long Collins. She was also preceded in death by a brother Don Collins.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday by the graveside of Marshville City Cemetery. Visitation will follow the graveside.

Libby is survived by her husband, Gary Wilson Hargett of the home; daughters in heart, Tami W. Mills and Gina D. Hargett; brothers, Brent Collins and his wife Paris and Tom Collins and his wife Sue; sisters, Jo Ann Cox and Martha Pressley.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Union County or Alzheimer's Association local chapter.
