Monroe – Mrs. Linda Hutchinson Griffin Bridges, 87, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Hospice House in Monroe.  Born February 23, 1937, in Anson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late James Alexander Hutchinson and Ruby Tarleton Hutchinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Keith Griffin, Sr., a son, William Keith Griffin, Jr. and a granddaughter, Amanda Carol Griffin.

Linda, a lover of people, impacted many lives through the church and as a human resource manager. Holding many positions at the church, she was the only female ordained as a deacon at Mill Creek Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 11-11:45 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in the Mill Creek Baptist Church sanctuary with a funeral service to celebrate her life beginning at 12 noon. The burial will follow the service in the Marshville City Cemetery.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Bridges; daughter, Lisa Griffin Gibson (Rick); step children, Greg Bridges, Wanda Richardson (Ronnie), Michael Bridges (Erica), James Bridges and Robin Baker (Chris); brother, James Hutchinson (Sylvia); sister, Elizabeth Tucker; grandchildren, Heather Spark (Kyle), Stacy Moore (Kevin), William Keith Griffin III (Morgan); great grandchildren, Averey, Camryn, Dylan, Nate, Abbie and Hank.
