Marshville – Mrs. Lola Mae Horne Cauthen Hildreth, 85 died Friday, March 31 ^st , 2017 at her home.  Born October 30, 1931 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Archie Horne and Hettie Ellen Rushing Horne. She was preceded in death by her 1 ^st husband James Harold Cauthen, 2 ^nd husband, Broughton J. Hildreth, children, Joyce Marie Cauthen, James Ray Cauthen and Thomas E. Cauthen; grandson, Stony Cauthen, great granddaughter, Cheyenne Handy.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Monday at 3 pm from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is survived by a son, Lanny D. Cauthen of Monroe; daughters, Ann C. Handy of Monroe and Jane C. Mills of Marshville, Helen C. Griffin of Wilmington, NC, Linda Harring of Peachland and Shirley C. Robinson of Marshville; brother, Preston Horne of Peachland; and 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren.
