Mrs. Lorraine T. Helms, of Marshville, died Monday, April 4, 2016 in Burlington, NC. Lorraine was the daughter of the late Onus and Beatrice Thomas. She was the owner and operator of Cook's Jewelry Store in Marshville, NC after the passing of her son Danny Cook, who started the business. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Cathy Helms Pyatt and her husband, Regan, of Burlington, her grandson, Evan, her sister, Dianne Drye and brother in law, Sandy, of Wadesboro and her aunt, Clara Farris, of Marshville and Uncle Coy Helms. She will be interred by her son Danny at Marshville Cemetery on Tuesday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. after a short graveside service according to her requests. She has found peace and is now with her beloved son.
