Louise Elizabeth Helms, 68, of Tampa, peacefully departed this life April 15, 2016. Her beloved and cherished life dimmed far too soon and she will never be forgotten. Born in Rockingham, NC, October 19, 1947, she was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rosie Ellen Stephens; her two brothers, Donald Stephens and David Stephens; as well as her husband, Thurman Boyd Helms, and her daughter, Leania Elizabeth Helms. She is survived by her son Christopher Helms and his wife Darlene; and her loving grandchildren, Christian, Zachary, Amelia & Sophia; sister, Frances McPhatter; brother, Willie Stephens and cherished extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at Morgan & Son Funeral Home in Marshville, NC. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin Kerbow officiating and her loving family sharing in the memory of her legacy. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Marshville City Cemetery.
