Peachland – Mrs. Louise Nance Thomas, 96 passed away Monday, April 24, 2023 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. Born June 20, 1926 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Letha Rogers Nance. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Thomas, Jr. and siblings, Lamar Nance and Clinton Nance.

Louise was a talented seamstress that made children's clothes, dresses, suits for men, and wedding dresses. She was an avid quiltmaker and later in life volunteered her skills to help stuff and stitch over 15,000 dolls for Dolls on Mission.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Louise will be 2 PM Thursday, April 27, 2023 from the New Home Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 – 1:45 in the church fellowship building.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Ronald Thomas and Randy Thomas (Ann); daughter, Ann Walters (Lynn); grandchildren, Jennifer Hyatt (Cliff), Amanda Helms (Brad) and Shane Walters; great grandchildren, Summer Tarlton (Jordan), C.J. Hyatt (Mackenzie), Colin, Conner, Grace and Logan; great-great grandchildren, Annistyn and Laken; brother, David Nance.
