Dateline - Peachland Mrs. Mabel "June" Thomas Escott died Sunday at her home in Peachland. Born October 9, 1943 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Pearl Thomas and Wilma Bowers Thomas. A funeral service to celebrate the life of June will be held Wednesday at 11 am from the graveside of Hopewell UMC. The family will receive friends Tuesday Evening from 6-8 PM at the Morgan & Son Funeral Home. Mrs. Escott is survived by a daughter, Dana Craven and her husband Eric; brother, Mike Thomas of New Mexico; sister, Judy Howard of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchild, Brianna Roberts. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial be made to the American Cancer Society. The Morgan & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Escott.
