Mara Lee Etta Kathleen Rogers Greene of Marshville, North Carolina born August 19, 1924, peacefully passed away in her sleep on October 27, 2014.
Mrs. Greene is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Joe E. Greene also of Marshville.
Mrs. Greene is also survived by her five children Dr. Suzanne Marshall, her husband Jay and their three children of Solvang, CA, Roger Greene, his wife Martha and their eleven children of Honea Path, SC, Dr. Phillip Greene and his wife Amy of Charlotte, NC, Steve Greene of Marshville, NC, and Dr. Scott Greene, his wife Lydia and their six children of Bloomsburg, PA; 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren survive Mrs. Greene.
Mrs. Greene was a registered nurse, devout Christian, devoted mother, and loving wife. She was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Indian Trail, NC. Visitation will be held October 29, 2014 at 1 pm from Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home, 218 E. Main Street, Marshville, NC 28103. Funeral service will be at 2 pm and burial will follow in Wingate City Cemetery.
