Marcus Joe Pierce passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. He was born on April 24th, 1971 to Joe and Jonnie Pierce in Monroe, North Carolina. He attended The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. He later earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Marc's passions were riding his motorcycle, listening to music, and being in the sun. He had an honest passion for life and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed having friends and family together where he would cook and entertain, with the goal of everyone having a good time. Marc was the proud owner of Pierce Family Chiropractic in Wadesboro, North Carolina. He was also partial owner of Infinite Wellness of the Carolinas, located in Monroe, North Carolina. Marc was a family man who protected all those he loved, especially his children, Marcus and Taylor. His family and friends portray him as a kind and generous man, always willing to help anyone in need. He was and will always be a well-loved man amongst his family and community.

In lieu of flowers, Marc would prefer donations be made to a local family in need of the donor's choice or to "Hands of Sportsman" in Salisbury, North Carolina. The family encourages all who donate to leave a note in the online guest book noting your donation in memory of Marc.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his children, Marcus Pierce and Taylor Pierce; his parents, Joe and Jonnie Pierce; siblings, Wendy (Joe Don) Tarlton and their children, Marley and Joe, and Jodi (Dillon) Melton and their children, Olivia, Blake and Claire; and his loving companion, Lisa Knight; his dogs, Samson and Delilah.

The family will host a service to celebrate the life of Marcus at 2 PM Saturday, January 20, 2024, from the East Campus of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail in Marshville.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
