Mrs. Margie H. Newton 90, passed away November the 25th, 2018 at Brian Center of Monroe. She was born in Anson County on December the 12th, 1927 to the late A.Z and Susie Griffin High. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son David Newton.
Funeral Services will be 11am Tuesday the 27th, 2018 at Deep Springs Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends in the sanctuary following the interment.
Mrs. Newton is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Mr. Lewis J. Newton. She is also survived by her three daughters: Peggy Newton Little and her husband Jamie of Peachland, Cathy Newton Autrey and her husband Steve of Monroe, and Sylvia A. Newton of Charlotte. One brother Mr. A.Z. High Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Charlotte. Grandchildren: Dana Little Ward, Nathan Little, and Brittany Smith. Five great-grandchildren also survive Mrs. Newton.
