Marshville – Mrs. Martha P. Baucom, 81, died Sunday August 31, 2014 at the Brookdale Place in Monroe. Born September 21, 1932 in York County SC, she was a daughter of the late Zeb and Wilhelmina Pursley. She was also preceded in death by a spouse, Roy B. Baucom.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11am from the Marshville Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10-11 am in the church.
Mrs. Baucom is survived by sons, David Whitesides and his wife Kathy, Cliff Whitesides and his wife Dawn and Quay Whitesides all of Marshville; daughter, Jean Whitesides Harrington and her husband Kenny of Norwood; sister, Claire Pursley Barnett and her husband Campbell of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Association or Marshville Presbyterian Church.
