Kannapolis – Mary Joan Gordon High, 75, died Thursday at North East Medical Center in Concord. Born April 28, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Della Usher Gordon.

Funeral services will be 3 pm Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to service time.

Mrs. High is survived by her husband Johnny; sons, Johnny Lamar High, Mitchell Gordon High and Jonathan Blair High all of Kannapolis; sisters, Paulette Gordon Ellis, Sue Gordon Knight and Nancy Gordon Shute all of Lancaster, SC; brother, Tommy Gordon of Liberty Hill S.C, grandchildren, Mariah Elizabeth Mercedes High and Marie Icy High.

The family suggests memorials be made to charity of the donor's choice.
