Oakboro - Mr. James Michael Tarleton, 66, passed away March 26, 2024, at Atrium Health – Cabarrus, Born October 19, 1957, to the late James Titus Tarleton, Jr. and Jennie Elizabeth Meggs Tarleton. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jerry, Terry and Greg Tarleton, niece, Rebecca Tarleton and a nephew, Chadwyck Mauldin.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Michael will be 2 PM Saturday, March 30, 2023, from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Those left to cherish his memory include a brother, Joe Tarleton; sisters, Pamela T. Mauldin (Rodney) and Sandy T. Tennant; nieces and nephews, Andrea Leigh, Jeremy Tarleton (Maria), Jennifer Rodriguez (Matias), Justin Tarleton (Crystal), Emily Whitley (Matt), Sarah McCarn, (Evan), Jessica Thomas, Ashley Tarleton and Jacob Griffin.
