Marshville - Mr. Julius Mitchell "Mick" Horne passed away, November 14, 2021 at his home. Born December 10, 1943 in Union County, to the late James Silas and Elizabeth Baucom Horne.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Larry Horne. He retired from AT&T/Lucent and was also a retired farmer.

Funeral service to celebrate the life of Mick will be 11 AM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Clontz Horne; son, Rob Horne and his wife Trina of Wingate; daughter, Mitzie Baucom and her husband Todd of Marshville; grandchildren, Cameron Baucom, Ryan Baucom, and Ayden Horne; brothers, Curtis Horne of Marshville, and Gene Horne and his wife Kathy of Marshville.

The family would like to thank Hospice nurses, Laura Mode, Mindy Parsons, and Tonya Harrill, for their caring service during Mick's illness.  They would also like to thank Dr. Martin J. Kreshon, Jr. for his years of treatment and care.
