Mrs. Mildred Frances Ray, 91, died Monday, February 29, 2016 at CMC-Union in Monroe. Born April 24, 1924, she was a daughter of the late William and Glennie Austin Horne. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Ray, sons, Stancil Ray and Neal Raye, a grandson Dennis Perkins, sisters, Marie Goodman and Eleanor Horne, son-in-law Roy Lee Davis.
Mrs. Ray was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was a friend to all that met her.
Funeral service will be held 2 PM Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Deep Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship building.
Survivors include daughters, Diane Hargett and her husband Gerald of Monroe, Deborah Davis of Peachland and Elaine Davis of Wadesboro; son, Lynn Raye and wife Sharon of Marshville; brothers, CW Horne; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
