Obituary

Mrs. Nancy Pepper Ogburn, 69, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at CMC Northeast in Concord. Born September 17 , 1946, a native of Belmont, NC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Isaac Pepper and Ina Greene Pepper.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Saturday September 10, 2016 at Marshville Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Monroe. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Cuthbertson and her husband Scott of Fairview, NC; grandchildren, Nathan and Layla Gianelli, Jack and Wade Cuthbertson, her sister Judith Pepper (John) of Whitefield, ME; nephews Sergei Pepper and Dmitry Pepper, niece Samantha Suozzi (John) of Wilmington, NC; as well as many extended family, friends, and loving neighbors whose relationships with she deeply cherished.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, William (Bill) Ogburn in 2013.

Long known for her positive outlook on life, eagerness to be a friend to anyone and strong Christian faith, Nancy served others in many different ways. She was an Elder at Marshville Presbyterian Church and at one time led many Sunday school and Bible classes at previous churches. She worked outside the home as a medical lab technician for 31 years. Nancy was formerly a President and Vice President of the Marshville Rotary Club receiving the Distinguished Rotarian Award twice and was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor and will truly be missed.
