Ned
Williams
Jun 28, 1939 — Aug 13, 2020
Marshville – Mr. Curtis "Ned" Williams, 81, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family, August 13, 2020. Born June 28, 1939 in Union County, he was a son of the late George and Fettie Williams. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother Ted and brother George Michael Williams.
Ned was a well-known poultry and cattle farmer in his community, for his entire life. He retired from poultry-farming in 2014, after being recognized one last time as "Top Grower" for Pilgrims Pride. Ned found so much joy in working with his hands, whether it was building a barn, working on his equipment and tractors, working in the fields, or mending a fence, but at the end of the day, if you didn't find him doing those things, he was enjoying time with his family.
Ned was survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce Austin Williams of the home; daughters, Lisa Keziah (Dennis) and Leigh Ann Flynn (John); grandchildren, MacKenzie Thomas (Darren) and John Curtis Flynn; great grandson, Williams Thomas; sisters, Flossie Russell (Cecil), Pauline Pope (Lewis), Sarah Jones (Carl), Judy Godwin (Larry); brother, Max Williams; and many nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ned will be 12 noon, Friday from the graveside of Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to Covid19, please exercise state restrictions while at the service.
Morgan & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Williams.
