Obituary

Mrs. Nezzie B. Stroud went to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, September 25, 2014 after a brief illness. She was the first born daughter July 10, 1940 in Anson County to Thomas and Eva Baker. She was a highly regarded seamstress for over 50 years. She loved flowers, family and friends. She was full of joy and happiness. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved the Lord and her church family.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Stroud is survived by a son, Glenn Stroud and his wife Crystal of Greensboro; brothers, Marion Baker of Polkton, Thomas Baker of Marshville and Lanny Baker of Polkton; sisters, Jessie Harrington of Polkton, Eva West of Peachtree, GA, Derlene Murphey of Fort Mill, SC and Kay Treadgill of Monroe; grandchildren, Thomas "TC" Charles Stroud and Ronald Ty Stroud. 6 nieces, 6 nephews, 13 great nieces and 8 great nephews.
The family will be at the home of Cary and Jessie Harrington.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to have donations made to the Mineral Springs Baptist Church cemetery fund, 1733 Lowery Road, Polkton, NC 28135.
