Parks Conley
Marsh
Dec 22, 1964 — Mar 23, 2021
Marshville – Mr. Parks Conley Marsh, 56, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Pruitt Health-Union Point. Born December 22, 1964, he was a son of the late Lonnie L. Marsh, Jr. and Mary Moore Marsh. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan Johnson Marsh, in 2016 and a brother, Jerry Wayne Marsh. The Forestry Service is going to honor Parks for his 33 years of service at his celebration on Friday.
Parks was a kind and loving person. He loved his family and friends. He loved the farm and was really looking forward to retirement and helping Emmett on the farm. He was blessed by a strong brotherhood in the forestry service that stood by him through the loss of his parents, brother, and especially his wife. He had served the NCDOT for 4 years before transferring into the forestry service in 1992. He enjoyed his job as a dozer operator, cutting lines for active fires, and for controlled burns. But mostly he enjoyed the brotherhood of his coworkers.
The family will receive friends from 9:45 – 10:45 on Friday, March 26, 2021 and a funeral service to celebrate the life of Parks will also be Friday at 11 AM from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Marshville City Cemetery with Forestry retirement honors. Please exercise social distancing while at the services at your individual comfort level.
Survivors are Pet children: Chloe, Toby, Daisy, and Pup-pup; brother, Emmett L. Marsh (Rhonda); nephews, Jamie Marsh, Dustin Marsh (Dawn) and William Custer (Kelley); great nephews, James Cooper Marsh, little Emmett Conley Marsh, Evan Custer, Bentley Carter, Chase Jones and Easton Custer; great niece, Laylah Custer; sister-in-law, Libby Hathaway Marsh; niece, Hannah Marsh Springer and great nephew, Waylon Springer.
