Marshville – Mrs. Ella Pat Baker, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Jesse Helms Nursing Center in Monroe.  Born November 14, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Edward Crawford and Mary Magdalene Kearney. She was also preceded in death by her husband Marion of 54 years, siblings, Linda Powell, Carole Lane and Daphne Kearney.

Pat was a beautiful woman inside and out who loved Jesus with all of her heart and soul.   This was evident in the things that she valued most which consisted of seeing her grandchildren saved, reading her Bible (which she treasured dearly), listening to old hymns, praying for a multitude of people, writing praises and posting them throughout her home.  Pat spent her life taking care of others in her job (Autumn Care) and also in her home life.  Next to Jesus, her greatest love was her family and spending as much time as possible with them.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Pat will be 11 AM Saturday, September 12, 2020 from Morgan & Son Chapel with burial to follow in the Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Due to Covid19, please exercise social distancing/face coverings to your comfort level.

She is survived by a daughter, Gay Baker, Apex, NC; sons, Robert Baker (Missy) of Wingate, NC, and Brandon Baker (Andrea) of Unionville, NC. grandchildren, Donnie, Matthew, Sarah, Savannah, Grace, Kylie & Isabella; great grandson, Maverick; siblings, Dennis Kearney and Marie Cooper.
