Peachland- Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Smith Edwards 80, passed away on November the 30th, 2019 at Hospice House of Union County. She was born in Union County on July the 25th, 1939 to the late Paul Henry and Nettie Edwards Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson Steven Coley and her sister-in-law Kathy Smith. She was retired from Autumn Care where she worked 29 years in the dietary department.
Pat found her enjoyment in her family, her neighbors, her friends, her church family and the beach.
Funeral Services will be 2pm Tuesday the 3rd of December, 2019 at Union Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Monday at Morgan & Son.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Mr. Max Edwards of the home. Three sons: Mr. Michael Edwards and his wife Sheri of Chesterfield SC, Mr. Marty Edwards and his wife Becky of Peachland, and Mr. Mark Edwards and his wife Robin of Rockingham. Her daughter Ms. Monica Edwards and her friend Billy Moore of Peachland. 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive her. Brothers: Mr. Gary Smith and his wife Betty of Indian Trail, Mr. William G. "Butch" Smith and his wife Peggy of Marshville and Mr. Terry Smith and his wife Nancy also of Marshville. Her sister Mrs. Janice Morris and her husband Gerald of Marshville.
