Mrs. Patsy Elizabeth Watts Helms, 88, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Albemarle, NC. Born August 15, 1935 in Anson County, NC she was the daughter of the late Joe Thomas Watts and Harriet Billingsley Watts.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Duane and an infant sister.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Patsy will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10 – 10:45 at the church.

Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Barbara Nance Mayton (Bob); son, Joe Nance (Terry), stepdaughter, Robin Creasman (Drew); grandchildren, Drew Mayton (Amy), Elizabeth M. Laws (Derek) and Joseph Nance; step granddaughter, Hien Hancock (Rick); cousin, David Billingsley (Jane).; great grandchildren, Emily Mayton, Ava Laws, James Laws and Halle-Beck Laws.
