Dateline – Peachland

Mr. Paul Reed Haynes, Jr., passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Autumn Care Nursing home on Marshville.  Born January 25, 1939 in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late Paul Reed Hayes, Sr. and Pearl Gainey Haynes.

The family will have a memorial service at 11 AM Wednesday at New Home Baptist Church.

Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elaine Mitchum Haynes; daughter, Tami Haynes Hunter and her husband Michael of Lancaster, SC; son, Jonathan Haynes of Peachland; grandchildren, Joshua Hunter and Drake Rollins; great grandchildren, Jacy Hunter and Gracelyn Hunter; brother, Jimmy Haynes and his wife Bobbie of Charlotte; sister, Evelyn Poteat her husband Ken of Midland; sister-in-law, Kathy Whitley and her husband Billy of Peachland.
