Rilla Pauline Taylor Phifer, 83, of Marshville, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Monroe. Born May 30, 1931 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late James Daniel and Beulah Kiker Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Blondee A. Phifer.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Pauline will be held 2 PM Monday at Hopewell UMC with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Phifer is survived by a son, Jimmy Phifer and his wife Linda of Marshville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Mitchell, Jamie Phifer and his wife Missy, Chuck Coble and Chase Coble; great grandchildren, Bella Mitchell, Caleb Phifer and Summer Coble.
